“Mamma” è, secondo le statistiche, la parola più diffusa al mondo, la prima che pronunciano i bambini, sostituita qualche volta da “cacca”, “pappa” e più raramente “papà”.
È, se siete fortunati come me, la persona che ti starà sempre accanto, quella che non importa quante volte cadrai lei ti rimetterà in piedi, ti cucinerà i cibi più buoni e ti rimprovererà senza mai arrabbiarsi sul serio.
Quella che anche se hai trent’anni ti rimbocca le coperte se stai male, ti compra un regalino di tanto in tanto e senza mai chiedere niente indietro, ti donerà se stessa.

Ripeto, bisogna essere fortunati!
Perché di madri disfunzionali ne ho viste in giro a iosa, dalla mamma-amica che cresce la figlia come una specie di sorella minore e le crea della confusione non indifferente sul significato di “no!”; alla mamma – cool, che si veste alla moda e sgrida la figlia…

Classics: “La Divina Commedia”

I loved this Opera so much that I took it at the Maturity exam[5], and even today on the gloomy days, I find myself leafing through it and re-reading a few passages, wondering how he managed to write such a powerful thing, as actual then as now, everlastingly contemporary!!!

The Divine Comedy is the most famous Italian opera in the world, perhaps the one to which we are most linked, yet I know so many Italians who have never read it. Not really. Not with the necessary passion.

Most Italians studied it at school, and maybe even hated it a little, having to apply hours and hours and hours paraphrasing it, analysing it, copying its verses or having to memorise it.

And that’s why most people haven’t really read it.

Io ho talmente amato questa Opera che la portai come traccia della tesina all’esame di Maturità, e ancora oggi nelle giornate uggiose, mi ritrovo a sfogliarla e rileggere qualche brano, a chiedermi come abbia fatto a scrivere una cosa del genere, tanto potente, tanto attuale allora quanto adesso, eternamente contemporanea!!!

La maggior parte di voi l’ha studiata a scuola, e magari l’ha anche un po’ odiata, avendo dovuto passare ore ed ore ed ore ed ore a farne la parafrasi, ad analizzarla, a trascriverne i versi o a doverla imparare a memoria.
E per questo la maggior parte di voi, non l’ha letta davvero.

Chi l’ha letta sul serio, senza la fatica dell’interrogazione sulle spalle, senza la paura del compito in classe, chi se l’è goduta per semplice diletto, non può non amarla.

“Parole, Segreti & Pioggia Viola”

Non credo questo romanzo resterà eterno, ma mi piacerebbe che ci provasse. Perché la storia delle due donne è incalzante, intrigante, piena. I capitoli sono brevi, come le piogge improvvise e il caldo inatteso, per questo anche se il libro è ambientato a Novembre, mi ha sempre fatto pensare a Marzo, col suo tempo incerto, le prime giornate buone, gli uccellini che tornano a cantare e le lande desolate piene di promesse amorose dei grandi classici.

Devo ammetterlo, ho fatto il tipico errore che vi raccomando sempre di non commettere: ho scelto il libro dalla copertina! Ma dovete capirmi: un libro con sopra dei libri! Come potevo resistere? Io. La rinomata bookaholic????

Sono stata fortunata, perché di libri con copertine del genere scritti coi piedi ne sono pieni gli scaffali, ma in questo mercatino di libri usati ho trovato questo volumetto davvero niente male.

Ok prima di tutto prepariamo una bella Naked Cake con la ricetta di Caramello Salato, sistemiamoci sul dondolo nel patio (in assenza del quale potete girare come dei pazzi per tutta la città/paese finché non ne trovate uno, chi sa che facciate anche amicizia col legittimo proprietario… oppure cercate un parco gioco e muniti di antistaminici, antizanzare e walkman*… o per i più moderni l’ipod, oppure costruitevene uno! è indispensabile che si dondoli per leggere questo…

I have to admit : I am two seasons behind. I stopped watching it just because I had too many, but I think it’s time to do a rewatch and go on. Then, this cold is perfect for Gothic and polenta…. Don’t you think?

I have always loved Batman.
It is perhaps the only DC hero I appreciate, and it is definitely the comic with the best villains ever! It was my brother who made me approach comics, PKs, Marvel sagas especially (although I am then obsessed with x-men and he prefers avengers), but the love for batman was born by himself and it is totally and inextricably stabilized with the trilogy of Nolan (an absolute masterpiece shredded away by that horrendous new Batman on the screens put next to that vapid of Superman).
So when I heard that Fox was making a prequel based on Gordon and the villains, I could not resist, I waited impatiently and a bit of torment because of the few poor films in which the bad guys find themselves being good and the choice to be the protagonist by Ryan’s of The OC (Benjamin McKenzie)…
