“Castle, Pizza and Beer”

It’s not the classic TV crime series because the murder, it’s just a pretext to plunge into the life of Castle and Beckett, and for a fast pace, or for jokes and weird theories, which instill good humor in the spectator. Another very funny peculiarity is that in bookstores you can find the “real” novels[2] of Richard Castle, Nathan Fillion – the actor who plays the protagonist – said that the author of the novels appears in the episode in which the new book is presented, so it is rumored that it is Tom Straw, screenwriter and sit-com author, but there is no official confirmation

I know, conventionally, people on Saturday night go out, but – excluding the nights of the shows – when it becomes cold (so from October to March more or less) I prefer to dedicate Friday to social life and on Saturday to burrow myself under a blanket, with pizza *! I wait the all week to be able to enjoy pizza on Saturday, it is now a habit and when it is violated due to force majeure, I get a big sadness.

For years I have been associating pizza with beer[1], and at the pizza and beer night, I associate Castle because in the Italian programming, it is always showed in the early evening that day.

“Castle, Pizza & Birra”

Lo so, convenzionalmente il Sabato sera si esce, ma io – escluse le sere degli spettacoli – quando arriva il freddo (quindi da ottobre a marzo più o meno) preferisco dedicare alla vita sociale il venerdì e il sabato rintanarmi sotto una copertina con la pizza*!Io aspetto tutta la settimana per poter gustare la pizza il Sabato, è ormai un’abitudine e quando viene violata per impegni di forza maggiore mi sale una grande tristezza.

Needless to say, you have to read them sitting at the bar after having ordered something absurd that makes the barrista’s mouth twist (with two r’s, as Massimo wants – even if in Italian he says “it spells barista[4]” with only one r), even if I don’t know how they were able to translate the harshly Tuscan in any other language; anyway, read it with an eye on the book and an ear on the gossip: you never know you might also come across some crime….

There is a summer time when you can’t stay outside. Whether you love the sea or the mountains, the sun, to say it in the Roman style, “’ ncoccia[1] ”and willy-nilly you’ll need to be sheltered from it. Whether you suffer from the heat or love it, that time of the day is infamous for everyone.

I mean, even the newscasts mention it …

That time between two and four in the afternoon: it is insufferable. It’s nap time for old people, children and timewasters.

The hour when there’s nothing on TV.
Of boredom.
And it is the time when Massimo Viviani would never ever make a cappuccino for you.
And that’s good!

Because cappuccino is a drink that goes well with breakfast with a croissant or a cake, but certainly not with a snack, pizzas or sandwiches, as tourists would like!!

“That’s a very Goodmorning”

My mornings were filled with new life, and even when I had to change its position in my schedule because of busy morning, I remained loyal to the idea that HIMYM was my good morning. And that’s why I suggest you look after preparing the eggs Benedict * shared with a nice frozen ** : the champions’ breakfast!

Usually in the morning I have always been busy, once there was the school, then university, then work. But it happened a time when I hadn’t to follow lessons anylonger and worked in the afternoon, and unexpectedly I had time for me in the early hours of the day and I did not know how to use them, and I found out that you can be very productive before lunch .
Or very lazy.

It was a time in my life I was really  full of activities, and the idea of having free hours seemed like a luxury that I wasn’t familiar with. I definitely needed to unplug from the routine and enjoy a little this new time.
And it was then that I began to see How I met Your Mother.
