London is one of my favourite cities in the world. I’ve been there 9 times, I visited the city in all seasons, I’ve even lived there for a while: I saw London in the October’s fog, under the January’s snow, in the August’s rain and the June’s heat.

I explored the tourist area and that of those who live there, I’ve been in the rich and poor neighborhoods.

I fell in love with the accents of the inhabitants and the perennially autumn colours, I was able to adapt to the foreign food, but not to the low temperatures.

It has not always been like that, in fact the first time I went there it was to study English, I was in one of those summer groups organized by my father’s work. An opportunity to make new friends more than anything else.

Quanto mi manca Londra, con le sue vette grige e i parchi smisurati….
quest’anno temo proprio di non riuscire ad andare, sarà per il prossimo? chissà, intanto posso tornarci leggendo….

Londraè una delle città che preferisco al mondo. Ci sono stata 9 volte, in tutte le stagioni, ci ho anche vissuto per un po’: l’ho vista nella nebbia di Ottobre, sotto la neve di Gennaio, nella pioggia di Agosto e nell’afa di Giugno.

Ho esplorato la parte turistica e quella di chi ci vive, sono stata nei quartieri ricchi e in quelli poveri.
Mi sono innamorata degli accenti dei passanti e dei colori bizzarri, mi sono adattata al cibo, alla temperatura un po’ meno.

Non è sempre stato così, in realtà la prima volta ci sono andata per studiare, ero in uno di quei gruppi estivi organizzati dal lavoro di mio padre. Un’occasione per farsi nuovi amici più che altro.
Non pensavo che mi sarei infatuata così tanto di questa città. Ma come poteva essere altrimenti? Con le sue mille culture e odori e rumori. Una città…
