“Who killed Laura Palmer?”

Fans of TV series or mystery, amateurs of the surreal, connoisseurs of wild shipping, it is a product that manages to capture everyone, and deserves to be watched and re-watched even if only for the merit of having been an open track.

Through The Mirror

It could be because the mysterious new season will be release soon, but I have a great desire to watch Twin Peaks again!

I don’t know what to expect from this reboot of Twin Peaks, but I’m definitely curious to find out what that genius David Lynch[1] has in mind for us!

Who does not know THE TV series par excellence? The product that changed the television schedule forever …

When the pilot came out, in 1990, the mystery of Laura Palmer’s death was a reason for daily dialogue, nothing that was on TV at the time was able even in the slightest to come close to that mixture of mystery, soap opera and auteur cinema which, also relying on a clever catchphrase as simple as it is intelligent (“Who killed Laura Palmer?”), had wedged itself into homes all over the world and had induced unsuspecting bystanders to clash…

“It is always (RED) tea time”

A curiosity of the TV series lies in the titles of the episodes, in fact up to the eighth of the sixth season, the word “red” or other terms that refer to color (such as “blood”, “crimson” or “cherry”) always appear. This is a clear reference to the name of serial killer Red John, who, while not appearing in all the episodes, is regularly involved in the psychological life of the protagonist. In the Italian version, the word “red” is always put in the titles, even when in the original title are found other words.

“mom is always Mom”

Still one of the best.

Through The Mirror

“Mum” is, according to statistics, the most common word in the world, the first word that children pronounce, sometimes replaced by “poop”, and more rarely “daddy”. It is, if you are lucky like me, the person who will always stand by you, the one that does not matter how many times you will fall she will always put you back on your feet, she will cook for you the best foods and admonish you without ever getting really angry. The one that even if you are thirty, rolls the covers if you’re sick, the one that buy you a gift from time to time and never ask for anything back, she will give you herself.

I repeat, we must be lucky!
Because  I have seen around a lot of dysfunctional mothers, from the mother-friend who grows up her daughter as a kind of younger sister and creates a very…

“Greetings from Gotham”

I have to admit : I am two seasons behind. I stopped watching it just because I had too many, but I think it’s time to do a rewatch and go on. Then, this cold is perfect for Gothic and polenta…. Don’t you think?

Through The Mirror

I have always loved Batman.
It is perhaps the only DC hero I appreciate, and it is definitely the comic with the best villains ever! It was my brother who made me approach comics, PKs, Marvel sagas especially (although I am then obsessed with x-men and he prefers avengers), but the love for batman was born by himself and it is totally and inextricably stabilized with the trilogy of Nolan (an absolute masterpiece shredded away by that horrendous new Batman on the screens put next to that vapid of Superman).
So when I heard that Fox was making a prequel based on Gordon and the villains, I could not resist, I waited impatiently and a bit of torment because of the few poor films in which the bad guys find themselves being good and the choice to be the protagonist by Ryan’s of The OC (Benjamin McKenzie)…

“Down in the mind”

The novel’s title refers to the song “All around the town” that the protagonist feels come from a music box in his period of kidnapping, but also an ambiguous meaning because as we said, people who suffer from DDPM (Multiple Personality Disorder ) are not always aware of their actions and go “around the city” unconscious and lost.

“Sarah Kinmount: <<What? >>
Justin Donnelly: <<There’s nothing to be afraid of. In fact, it’s quite remarkable. A child powerless against abuse often creates other personalities or alters to survive the trauma.>> [1]

The phenomenon of multiple personality has always fascinated and frightened me, the idea that a person can “host” various and numerous individuality (from two to twelve doctors say), of which the main one is usuallyunaware of the others, it is disturbing and at the same time a great artistic resource.

By playwriter the idea of writing a character that has within it different personalities is tempting and for an actor would be an incredible challenge, play twelve roles in one, can you image?

giphy2But whereas for writers or poets it can be a creative inspiration, at the same time we must not forget that it is a serious disease!

The ways in which this mental activity…
